Harrison Pitt Architects was appointed as architects for King Edward and Queen Mary School following a competitive interview process in early 2010.

The practice helped to deliver three small, but complicated, projects during the summer and autumn of 2010.

The first of these involved the creation of a new reception area which was intended to provide improved security and a good first impression for visitors.

The second was refurbishment of the existing sports hall, with a new surface, new impact walls, upgraded lighting and a new climbing wall.

The final, and most challenging scheme, saw a makeover of a previously dull and uninspiring dining hall into a vibrant and colourful space.
